Ho Chi Minh city to host regional travel fair

HO CHI MINH CITY, June 25 (Bernama) -- More than 100 exhibitors from Cambodia, Laos, the Republic of Korea, Singapore and Vietnam will take part in the International Travel Expo Ho Chi Minh City 2007 in October.

The event, themed Three Countries-One Destination, will promote tourism in Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam, as well as help the three countries to promote tourism to the global market.

Quoting Soukaseum Bodhisane, deputy head of the Laos Administration of Tourism, the Vietnam news agency (VNA) reported that the fair would also give Laos a chance to showcase its eco-tourism to travel companies from the US, Australia, the Republic of Korea, and Japan.

The annual event, organised by Binet Exhibitions of Singapore, will also feature buyer-seller meetings, conferences, familiarisation trips and many other activities.
